Suppliers: Services & Tools

Track which tools and service suppliers your organisation uses, and which roles are responsible for them.

The model

Tools connect to roles, not to teams directly:
Tool → assigned to Role(s) → Role belongs to Team → Tool appears on Team page
Link a tool to a role, and it shows up on every team page that role belongs to.

The Tools page

Tools in the left sidebar lists every tool and supplier in your workspace, with the roles using each one. The same data is queryable from  Claude and other AI assistants  — useful for questions like "List every supplier filling more than three roles."

Link a tool to a role

From the tool:
    Open Tools in the sidebar.
    Click the tool.
In the detail panel, add the role(s) that use or manage it.
From the role:
Open a role (from the Roles page or a team page).
In the role detail, add the tool(s) the role uses.

How tools appear on a team page

Every team page has a tools section that collects every tool linked to any role in that team. It updates automatically as you link tools to roles.
Example. The "Software Apps, Tools & AI" role uses Slack, Asana, and 1Password. The role sits in the Operations team. All three tools appear on the Operations team page.

FAQ

Does mentioning a tool in a team description link it? No. Descriptions are plain text. Assign the tool to a role in the team.
Can I link a tool directly to a team? Not currently. Tools connect through roles. For tools the whole team uses, assign them to the team's Lead role.
How do I add a tool that isn't in the list? On the Tools page, use Add to create one for your workspace.
