Patterns
Patterns are ready-made starting points you can adopt into your workspace and then adapt to fit your team. There are three kinds: roles, policies and suppliers.
Role patterns
Role patterns are pre-written role definitions any workspace can adopt. Each includes a purpose, accountabilities, and links to related other roles, tools, suppliers, docs etc. Browse the catalog when you're filling a new function, adopt the closest match, then edit it to fit your team. Policy patterns
Policy patterns are starting points for the rules your organisation runs on: leave, expenses, hiring, conflict of interest. Often, they are also just explanations for your team on your processes and how to do things. Adopt a pattern to bring a clean draft into your workspace, then edit and publish. They reflect what other nonprofits have agreed on, which shortens the drafting work. Once adopted, manage it in Policies .

Tool and service patterns describe how other workspaces use a specific vendor: which roles touch it, what data flows through it, the typical setup. Use them when you're adding a new tool to your stack and want a head start on who owns it and how to roll it out. For the underlying directory see Suppliers .
